The Blackcoats are Leaving and So Are We

In just a few minutes, my mother and I will leave this winter wonderland for yet another year.

I’ve always said it’s like summer camp for filmmakers. Once a year they converge on a small town in Utah and share ideas, have dialogues, generate ideas and hope their film gets sold.

Less and less blackcoats can be seen wandering the city each day especially since this is now Sundance’s closing weekend. We actually had a panel on Middle East ideas scheduled for today, but decided we already spent too much money, plus a storm is coming, so we decided we’ll leave for Reno now.

We’re already thinking about volunteering for next year so we can become more involved with the Sundance Institute, but we’ll see. I have already requested the time off for next year.

Thank you for reading my entries; I hope you enjoy them. And as always you can leave comments, it gives me an idea of how I’m doing. Thank you!

And goodbye from Utah!
