Release Your Inner Goddess

Recently someone asked me ‘diva, how do you release your inner goddess out?’ It’s one of life’s big quandaries my friend. We all can’t be Paris Hilton. Even when you have some cash to blow. 

So how can you do that on a smaller budget? Let’s figure this out.  

I think it might be more important not to spend more money, but spend more time doing things.  

For example, if friends call and ask you to go to ….. then go. Make yourself more available and more people will see you out.  

For makeup, just go to grocery store and buy some. Some brands there are made by the same luxury brands like Chanel. Don’t get fooled and be seduced by a bigger label. And if you really need to, use Vaseline for your lips to make them look shiny.  

I also believe you only have to own a few fun dresses. You don’t have to buy new clothes for every occasion – you do have to live and pay bills. Wear them only at really special places and switch them out with jeans and a classy looking t-shirt or blouse at other places. Plus, if you prowse different hangouts, there’s less people who will know you’re actually double clothing it.  

I also still believe you need to be gracious to everyone you meet. A. you never know who they could turn out to be or know and B. treat people the way you want to be treated. And yes, I’m still working on B too. 

Invite friends over for a wine tasting party. Besides the basic appetizers and snackies, ask them to being a wine bottle you all can pass around and enjoy. Life really is about deep conversations and fun, not if the tablecloth matches the kitchen floor. Look at the big picture.  

As for you, be on your game. To make yourself feel better, wear the best lingerie you own; no one has to know. The feeling of confidence and sexiness that will exude from you will be worth the price you paid.  

I also (went I’d go out more frequently) use fake jewelry. It’s nice having the real thing, but let’s say you lose it. Then what happens? You cry hysterically. I actually prefer fake rubies because of their color. Costume jewelry is in – go for it!
