Conan O’Brien says Ed McMahon will be remembered for the “effortless joy” he brought to “The Tonight Show.”
O’Brien, who took over as host of NBC’s late-night talk show this month, paid tribute Tuesday night to McMahon, who died at age 86 in Los Angeles.
O’Brien says as sidekick to Johnny Carson for 30 years on “Tonight,” McMahon became an indelible part of broadcasting history.
O’Brien says “The Tonight Show” family is mourning the loss, calling McMahon a warm and truly funny man.
