No. 19 Nevada 34, No. 3 Boise State 31, OT

Boise State says goodbye to its top-five ranking for the first time this season, dropping six spots to No. 9 in The Associated Press college football poll after an overtime loss to Nevada ended its 24-game winning streak.

Oregon and Auburn are 1-2 for a third straight week while TCU moves up a spot to replace the Broncos at No.3.

Nevada moved up five spots to No. 14.

Anthony Martinez kicked a 34-yard field goal in overtime to cap a Nevada comeback that gave the Wolf Pack a 34-31 win over previously unbeaten No. 3 Boise State.

The kick came after Boise State’s kicker missed a 26-yard field goal with 2 seconds left in regulation and another from 29 yards in overtime. It snapped Boise State’s 24-game winning streak and ended any hopes that the Broncos would play in the BCS title game.

Nevada rallied from a 17-point halftime deficit to tie the game with 13 seconds left on a 7-yard pass to Rishard Mathews, who had two second-half touchdowns for the 19th ranked Wolf Pack.

Nevada fans stormed the field after the school’s biggest win ever. The Wolf Pack had lost 10 straight to Boise State and were a 14-point underdog. (AP)
