Vegas Turns Prince Photo Fiasco to Tourism Pitch

The keepers of the iconic “What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas” catchphrase are condemning the leak of nude Prince Harry photos in a tongue-in-cheek ad campaign.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority ad Friday in USA Today asks partiers for a “shun on these exploiters” who “traded in their pledge to their Las Vegas brethren” by distributing photos of the royal’s weekend antics.

Blurry cell phone pictures published on gossip site TMZ show the naked, 27-year-old prince cozy with an unidentified woman during a game of strip billiards.

The tourism authority runs an entire campaign about “knowing the code” and keeping hush-hush about wild Sin City weekends. The ad urges readers to click on VisitLasVegas.com/knowthecode to sign a pledge to keep Vegas  indiscretions in Vegas and to report offenders who share embarrassing Vegas pics on Facebook.

Campaign organizers call the Harry ad a reminder that even royals should be able to “celebrate adult freedom” in Las Vegas.
